Is Eating A Beet A Day Harmful
Il Giappone del ‘500, percosso da battaglie e lotte intestine, eserciti, assedi, castelli and samurai on one side and erotic fantasies of the protagonist, the first guy and then an adult, on the other. Recurring themes in the fiction of the last century (the novel is 1924), described with elegance and intensity.
• The Love of a fool
Junichiro Tanizaki, Bompiani 2010 (latest edition), translated from Japanese by Carlo De Dominicis, 262 pages, € 9.00, introduction of Alberto Moravia.
A contemporary Japan (written in 1925), where in addition to the description environment, meet other two subjects dear to Tanizaki narrative: the disappearance of traditions and the approach to the idea of the West experienced as something higher. All through a story of love and sex, in which the characters' psychology supports a sociological analysis.
• THE SUN GOES
Osamu Dazai, Feltrinelli 1959 (first Italian edition), translation by American Bianciardi Luciano, 139 pages, € 7.50
Coming from a family of wealthy landowners, Dazai is one of the most representative and troubled writers from the first half of the 900.
In this short novel, published in 1947, returns to the theme already proposed by Tanizaki the clash between tradition and changing times, very pronounced dall'irrompere the Second World War: The aristocratic world that degenerates in the new industrial civilization, disillusionment in the face of a radical change that actually does not occur (and Daza, who committed suicide in 1948, will not see), the anxiety and the feeling of personal inadequacy give structure to the work. •
the suspended
Osamu Dazai, Feltrinelli 1962 (first Italian edition), translated by Marcella Bonsanti the American version, 150 pages, € 7.50
Here is even more striking than the previous novel, although it's only been a year between The two publications, the sense of loss, inadequacy of the individual, and in particular of many postwar Japanese writers: self-exclusion and exclusion from society, that ravaged the protagonist. Interesting gimmick Dazai to close the novel, which you can define existentialism, moving the narrative view outside of the character.
• Snow Country Yasunari Kawabata
, Einaudi 2002, translated by Luca Lamberti version in English, 145 pages, € 9.50
A small masterpiece of Japanese literature, written in 1947, describes a magical world, the sounds muffled and colors. In the theater of a spa resort, the tradition of the geisha and the game of love, of passion and fleeting fantasies.
• shotgun
Inoue Yasushi, 2004 Adelphi, translated from the English version of George Amitrano, 101 pages, € 9.00
Spesso is also the author of the texts, as in the case of remote districts in which he describes the transition from adolescence to adulthood of the protagonist, who is catapulted into the past. Moving away from tradition
Japan to approach that of Europe, seems Taniguchi join the two ends of the world, such as technical content as the psychology of the characters.

Mesages For An Islamic Wedding
L’orribile cataclisma che si è abbattuto sul popolo giapponese deve indurci ad una profonda autocritica politica, filosofica ed esistenziale della nostra first civilization to establish the finiteness of the human condition, reflecting on the relationship between the vulnerability of human beings and the immense power of nature and become aware that our technology, however advanced it may be, highlights a number of limitations and shortcomings objective that succeeds in the face of terrible fury of the natural elements.
I can try to reconstruct the facts in short, to obtain, if possible, some valuable lessons that could serve the whole of humanity, provided that it is aware and wants to grasp and understand the meaning conveyed by recent events. Like any traumatic experience which overwhelms the lives of individuals and peoples, including the collective tragedy that shocked Japan is giving some historical lessons.
The Japanese people used for centuries to live with the constant risk of earthquakes and has learned to cope with frightening than any other country in the world, the painful consequences caused by natural forces against which humanity is always forced to confront. No coincidence that Japan is at the forefront of anti-seismic technologies and is a model for all the peoples who inhabit the Earth.
In recent days, Japan was hit by a series of devastating earthquakes, including the most violent shock lasted 400 seconds (ie more than 6 ½ minutes) and land-based high energy given off, with a magnitude measured at 8.9 on the Richter scale, akin to the maximum limit which is 10 degrees. In simple words, the intensity of the quake was 20 000 times greater than the earthquake that destroyed the Eagle and reached a power of 5.8 on the Richter scale . After the strongest in Japan, there were many aftershocks that have exceeded 6 on the Richter scale.
If a similar earthquake had occurred anywhere else in the world, would have caused an unimaginable carnage, while Japan came out virtually unscathed had not suffered casualties, but a couple of deaths that seem to be due cardiac arrest. Unfortunately, the earthquake was followed by an unprecedented tsunami of a force that hit the northeastern coast of the Japanese archipelago, penetrating inland in a radius of 5 kilometers flooded entire towns and rural villages submerged by water and tens of thousands of dead and missing. Therefore, the tsunami caused the most damage and has made slaughter among the people stanziate lungo le zone costiere.
The discovery of such undeniable evidence compels us to admit the limitations and weaknesses inherent in the current development model that emphasizes a very technology that seeks to enslave and make the nature and man to the cynical logic and office of the capital.
deserves a separate discussion the issue of nuclear power plants and the improper use of nuclear energy. In fact, while earthquakes and tsunamis are natural disasters absolutely unavoidable, although the effects are sizable banks and at least in the case of terrestrial phenomena, the risks arising from the use atomic energy can be avoided because it is a choice that depends on the political will of States.
The most alarming given us by the media concerning the explosion at a nuclear power plant in Fukushima, which is 250 km from Tokyo, with the reactor core that threatens the merger, the plant No cooling of the reactor 2 officially discarded, some amount of radioactive cesium released into the external environment, dozens of people already contaminated by radiation and do not know what else happened and what might happen in the coming hours. In addition, a new explosion occurred at the Fukushima plant last night, damaging the reactor number 3 and arouse strong fears and concerns. The same Japanese government was forced to alert the press and general public of the risk of melting in the reactor No 3 of the installation.
Gianni Mattioli, a member of "Committee vote yes to stop the nuclear , quite rightly calls: " In a situation in which the French are building one from 1991 Central, 80 Americans are not making any system, because we in a territory earthquake in which the possible sites is reduced to Sardinia and not much else we should build power plants? ". The conviction that landed Mattioli is "a deep rebellion for the incompetence and ignorance of those who will pursue this option, against which we are planning a great battle for democracy and scientific culture" .
The Speaker Gianfranco Fini, guest on "The Interview" led by Maria Latella on Sky TG24, about the possible repercussions "emotional" che potrebbero condizionare il piano di rilancio dell’energia atomica in Italia, ha dichiarato: "Il mio auspicio è che non si decida solo sull’onda dell’emozione" . Alla faccia di Chicco Testa e della lobby di scienziati, politici ed affaristi fautori del ripristino del nucleare in Italia (che oltretutto has an area of high seismic risk) in a time when elsewhere we discuss the possibility of finally overcoming the exploitation of nuclear energy sources.
In conclusion, it is not "profiteering" the attitude of one who finds the real dangers associated with the exploitation of nuclear power in light of the dramatic experience of Japanese, but the cynicism and l & # 8217; profiteering that fuel the propaganda carried out in recent years to convince the Italian public opinion to accept the deception left nuclear power plants as a solution, illusory, problems energetici del nostro paese.

After the resounding victory at the Richard Ginori, the Sesto Fiorentino, Thursday, March 10 the Cobas replied with a superb coat for the election of RSU tannery Fucecchio of Pegasus. A historic victory because for the first time, she was elected an entirely solid and Cobas, exclude completely the confederal unions tanning company in Florence.
have been difficult elections, preceded by very strong pressure from management to try to prevent the initial development: pulling the sheets of the Election Commission and denying any legitimacy to COBAS trade union presence and, subsequently, through a boycott explicit, urging workers not to vote that would not be exceeded fifty percent of the voters, thus nullifying the election process.
had earlier been trying to overturn the CGIL trade union democracy, suggesting that the trade unions were set up inter-Dawn Group, which is part of Pegasus, rather than in each of two plants that make up the group tanning, as provided by the same electoral rules of CGIL, CISL and UIL.
The ploy had the sole purpose of remedying the lack of its own candidates for municipal solid waste and thus avoid losing control in what union rappresenta una delle principali aziende conciarie del territorio.
Workers, for their part, have chosen not to give credit to those who seem to have delegated only to the "appeals" to the mayors of the district any initiative to fight the renewal of a collective agreement expired October 31, 2010, and from now on trying to introduce it through the "model Marchionne, with paltry wage increases, pushing flexibility, fewer guarantees for the last hired and non-payment of the first day of sickness."

Coughing Up Blood Brushing Tongue
CISL and UIL do not deny:
after selling out a prezzi stracciati il lavoro in Fiat,
Come:
divieto di sottoscrizione di accordi aziendali migliorativi, anzi PEGGIORAMENTO in AZIENDA di parti stabilite dal contratto nazionale, dando così mano libera ai padroni sull’organizzazione del lavoro, per intensificare i ritmi e i carichi di lavoro, aumentare le ore di straordinario required, make more flexible shifts with increasing hours per week;
REDUCTION OF WAGES DURING ILLNESS: Each year, the first 3 days of sick leave will be paid at 100% only with the first two certificates, the 3rd and 4th certified company will pay only 50%, while the 5th certificate on, for diseases for less than 12 days, we will pay zero for all the first 3 days;
application of new law called the "RELATED WORK" with which companies will be allowed to blackmail each worker, to force him to renounce recourse to the Labour Court in case disputes arise concerning the individual employment relationship;
e poi ALTRE PERLE, come: l’aumento dei periodi di prova per tenere sotto controllo più a lungo i lavoratori e garantire ai padroni che quelli da confermare siano davvero dei “signorsì”; the increase in the compulsory Sunday working up to 30% more on Sunday approved locally, the swelling of part-time for eight hours on Saturdays and Sundays, the ban on strikes during the negotiations for the renewal of contracts (because contracts are increasingly of crap!).
But perhaps it's time to stop to explain the shame of this contract signed by CISL and UIL, organizations, not even ashamed to call again "unions", they act to always say YES to the more infamous claims of employers , getting to the point of not renewing contracts to improve the condition of workers, but to give all the bosses. In short, it's time to stop complaining, move to organize the massive and total rejection of this contract forcaiolo and take the initiative to fight, win a contract which meet our needs the wages of workers on the stabilization precarious rights, on the reaffirmation of the dignity of the worker: a program to beat in the face of those who exploit our work with ferocity and who is the slave.

Paz e l'artista “improduttivo”
Nel film Paz! c’è una scena emblematica in cui i compagni del movimento (il contesto del Bologna is the film of 1977) complain of Pentothal be "unproductive" and cries "or become productive or ..." , "you are an artist and you give a damn" , "we the shit that you're an artist ". In fact, Patience, while somewhat 'marginal compared to the Movement settantasettesco, interprets the anxieties, the worries, the rebellions, the contradictions.
But who was Andrew Patience? And what role can the artist in contemporary society? How can the artist contribute to the advancement of mankind?
Andrea Pazienza, who died prematurely in 1988, was one of the most gifted and versatile artists of the Italian comics scene and a prolific author and a remarkable illustration of various kinds. Basically he was a painter provided the comic, so it was a bold experimenter reiterated that the techniques of drawing a sample peerless comic art, an author who has made outstanding school but had no followers because his talent was unique and inimitable.
Andrea was the son of art as his father was a professor of art education and a great watercolorist, while his mother was a teacher of applications techniques. When Andrea began to devote himself to the art of comics could exploit a wealth of pictorial and literary knowledge and a refined cultural background, by applying to the proceedings comic techniques and styles derived from classical and avant-garde, especially the graphic el ' irony of the iconoclastic Dada movement, which was literally struck by lightning, by way of anarchic vision of the world, and art in particular. In early 1977, right at the DAMS, Umberto Eco, having examined his drawings, I pointed out to Oreste del Buono who was then director of Linus, the most important and prestigious Italian magazine di fumetti, che tra i vari autori ha ospitato le vignette di Altan, Angese e Vauro.
Patience has founded and worked with various magazines of the counterculture, underground comics and satire that mocked bourgeois conformity and respectability: think of worship as tested Cannibal , Evil , Frigidaire then Corto Maltese , Comic Art and Orient Express born in the early '80s, as well as inserts satirical Ottovolante additional Paese Sera, Satyricon Republic of , Tango de Unit, and has participated in numerous editorial publications. Among his characters worth mentioning Pentothal, Zanardi , Pompeo ed altri.
Occorre aggiungere che Pazienza non ha lavorato solo nel campo della nona arte, ossia il fumetto, ma ha svolto un’intensa ed eclettica attività grafica, creating important posters for film and theater (eg the image of the film The City of Women Federico Fellini, in addition, it seems that you would entrust him with the Roberto Benigni film poster The little devil, but the untimely death of 'artist prevented the realization of the project), album covers of Amy Grant, Claudio Lolli, David Riondino, Enzo Avitabile, Roberto Vecchioni, Franz Di Cioccio and PFM, as well as sets, costumes, cartoon illustrations, murals and even for some advertising campaigns.
Andrea Pazienza apparently was lazy. A typical feature of the artists genius is the idle character that does not mean apathy or sloth. In fact, many people confuse laziness with the sloth and indifference, which instead features are detestable. Another very famous and talented artist, a character known to be lazy, it was Massimo Troisi.
But laziness seems to be an almost anthropological Italians. It is undoubtedly a false stereotype of an easy and commonplace, but it seems that Italians are a nation of devoted and tireless graphomania, but they read very little. How do you explain this if not with laziness? E 'is known, and is confirmed by statistics, that in Italy there are more writers than readers. But beyond technical limitations and talents, I do not think it is right to castrate the anxiety community expressed through the use of the written word rather than other-verbal codes. After all this creative desire is also evident in other areas such as drawing, music, theater, photography. How many of us have ventured into one of these camps at least once? Think of the theatrical performances staged at school, activities, graphic and pictorial experience from childhood, to inventions made by pure artistic delight.
The real problem lies elsewhere, namely the relationship between the creative freedom of expression and cultural industry, ie the market economy. Each artist has had to confront his own limitations, but especially with the contradictions inherent in the capitalist system. In a market economy, the money accumulated by selling goods. Well, if a talent is commodified, that is reduced to a commodity, and as such are selling, then it is likely that there are fair chance to earn something, but really just the crumbs are intended to the artist or the writer, unless that it is not Umberto Eco and a few other famous people of culture. Instead, profits are more in the pockets of managers, publishers, owners of the culture industry. In commercial society and mass consumerism, art, cinema, literature, music, goods are bought and sold, are products of cultural and entertainment, they end up on display in shop windows as the Maurizio Costanzo Show television or other media lounges.
In a mercantile aesthetic quality is sacrificed in favor of quantity, as they enhance the commercial criteria, as an artifact that has the ability to sell what it receives in the public acceptance, because it is produced on an industrial scale. The market tends to disparage the works of great value, and giving priority to meet the needs of profit that have nothing to do with the talent, art and craftsmanship.

Wooden Side Rails On Trucks
How To Make Skateboard Chairs
Riti inutili e significati rimossi
Come ogni anno il giorno dell’8 marzo si ripete (sempre più stancamente) International Women's Day, which coincides with another celebration in 2011 very celebrated, Carnival, sharing the ritual forms and methods of gestural mark purely hedonistic and commercial, the result of a process of complete emptying, removing or distorting of the true value more the idea of starting and deep, that is the oldest sense of a secular party like the March 8, or a pagan tradition and popular as Carnival.
The historical, religious, lay person or a political event, it was not definitively clear, vernacular or misunderstood, is only the outer frame, an ephemeral and bloated, while this that counts is the primacy of the god of money and goods, the consumer standardized practices that destroys any ability to review and critical thinking, alienating and mystifying people's lives.
In the consumer society such occurrences, whether they are of religious origin, such as Christmas and Easter, pagan origin of light as the Mardi Gras, or politically motivated as 25 April and 1 May, are a series endless custom purely commercial, having no other value than that on the most stupid and vulgar commodification and the extraction of individual financial gain.
I refer to the meaning of political, intellectual and social event that gave rise to that, not surprisingly introduced in the scenery and habitat of the socialist movement, that is the fertile ground of the struggles and the reasons for the international working class, thanks to an idea of Rosa Luxemburg and Clara Zetkin, two women of great thought and personality that were communist activists of the revolutionary proletariat. This needs a brief historical reconstruction of so-called "International Women's Day" to understand the original meaning that over time has been lost, erased, devalued or trivialized.
And of women) by other men, ie in a society of free and equal, in a system that is actually egalitarian and communist.
The Women's Day, as it was conceived and created a hundred years ago, is now completely meaningless, reduced to being an empty ritual, and unnecessary, is the unequivocal confirmation of the triumph of capitalism, the exaltation of 'mercantile bourgeois ideology and its social liturgies, the ecstasy of the god of money and commodity fetishism, a mass-cult that celebrates the apotheosis of mindless hedonism and more alienating.
system capitalist has a power evil can absorb and neutralize any value and every feeling, the meaning of any event, action or idea, initiative or even the most daring and subversive movements. In other words, the system mass consumerism is the real and true fascism, totalitarianism, an omnivorous monster that can absorb and devour everything, as Pasolini claimed more than 35 years ago.

Breaking Out After Waxing
ROME - Do not no trick and no deception. To give credit to the leaders of the Democratic Party there are ten million signatures and Tuesdays all Pier Luigi Bersani will show evidence of 'objective reached. " But now the story of the petition against Berlusconi has become an event, even at the top of the party. Is it really possible to pull up in a month such an imposing host of autographs? And what value have tons of thick sheets of names can not be verified? The initiative also has been a "great success", but also to the Secretary must not have been pleasant run on its website lists of subscribers. Suffered from a dried fig from Acqui Terme, Rome by Numa Pompilius, Herman Goering in Berlin, Zeta Zorro from Mexico City, Al Capone by Minervino Murge and so pale: Hitler and Lenin, Castro and John Paul. The center-right daily
Bersani and satirized on "bogus membership 'and the Pd part of the counter-offensive, the press office ready to swear that the names are deceptive work of the Friends of the premier. "Scarred by the success of the campaign Berlusconi resign" Libero and Il Giornale attack with false signatures, "you read about Partitodemocratico.it, where yesterday the collection has been suspended for several hours to allow engineers to" clean up the database '.
How many signatures, "we will see him Tuesday" bulldozing the coordinator of the secretariat Maurizio Migliavacca, which really does not see "where the problem. " Yet, from the upper floors of the Nazarene, a tad bit of embarrassment filters. If nothing else, for that format so free to allow anyone to sink. "For too much transparency we published the signatures in real time - changing the classification" scandal "Matthew Orfini, responsible for Culture and Information -. But the initiative has exceeded all expectations. And this comes from someone who had taken Bersani was crazy, considering the ten million a gamble. " The manager has changed his mind Dalem "turning to the Banquet", but other young Democrats feel the smell of banana peel.
Vice President Ivan Scalfarotto, good knowledge of the network, is about communication error: "It was a gaffe, hanged himself numbers is a sterile exercise. We should start a major overhaul of the communication. " But Nico Stumpo not get tired of rattling off figures. Twenty gazebo, four million cards sent to the families ... "I used to work in a serious way - lightness belies the responsible local authorities and dysfunction -. This is not to prove whether the signatures are there or not, is a political initiative and not a legal petition. " But meanwhile, the blogger Mario Adinolfi quips on The Week on the "farce" of electronic signatures: "Ten million does not exist, the five share is realistic." The radical Marco Cappato lowers the bar and remembers when Berlusconi announced seven million signatures ('unseen') to bring down Prodi: "For a referendum, it takes 500 thousand and three months are not enough."
Stumpo admits that, yes, "with the ordinary means is complicated collect ten million." And with the extraordinary means? "We have millions of signatures and more to come, thanks to the modules that clubs have holed out to letterboxes." The mayor of Bari, Michele Emiliano, signed and has "felt a little 'pathetic, because Berlusconi cares of our signatures." And on Facebook
collects comments the intervention of Stephen Menichini, one that can not be more democratic. The Director of Europe is concerned the "boomerang" complaint "invented names, names absurd no control, "suspected" the superficiality of some lazy bureaucrat "and hopes that" someone in the Democratic Party pay dear. " Words that infuriate Geloni Clare, director of YouDem: "Be careful you to rubbish the efforts of millions of people. If they were eight and nine million signatures true, would it change anything? ". The yellow, yellow if it comes, will be unveiled Tuesday. "Bersani will appear with the truck ..." irony in the minority. But the spokesman Stefano Di Traglia scales: "Ten million signatures are in a cubic meter."

Give me your shadow
for my shadow
that feels cold in his name.
Teach your silence, my folly has
need to invent a god ..
Let me know the snow.
I want to hide,
under his skin, the words never said

Graduated Inverted Bob
If it is true, as I think, that knowing a country is not only see the architecture, enjoy the sea and the mountains, taste the cuisine but that it also meets history, the stories of those in this country we live or have lived there ... art, music and literature are essential to understand and love.
Here are some tips on reading, a brief bibliography of contemporary Albanian literature. Not all titles in print, but a few, those who have helped me to learn something more about this small town. •
sworn virgins
Elvira Dones, Feltrinelli, 2007, € 7.50
An intense novel that addresses a social phenomenon confined to the mountains of northern Albania and Kosovo and sanctioned by traditional law, through which women, to escape an arranged marriage without disgracing the name of the clans can oath of chastity and lose everything that is feminine in them wearing men's clothes, adopting male behaviors and take on a male name. The Dones tells the story of Hana, who, after fourteen years of violent life in the mountains can no longer suppress his true identity, he rebels and flees to the oath in the United States.

• GENERALE DELL’ARMATA MORTA
